7. Past Perfect Tense

Past Perfect Tense is used:
- For the action that happened in past before another action.

Affirmative Structure:
Subject + Auxiliary (Helping) Verb + Main Verb (3rd Form) + Object

Auxiliary Verb:
He, She, It, Name, I, You, They, We  > "Had"

Affirmative:

For Instance;
1. He had played Football.
2. She had watched T.V.
3. Sahar had eaten Mango.
4. I had drunk water.
5. You had taken a Tea.
6. They had visited Sehwan Sharif.
7. We had driven Benz.

Auxiliary (Helping) Verb:
He, She, It, Name, I, You, They, We > "Had"

We can make Interrogative, Negative, and Interrogative Negative with the help of these Helping / Auxiliary Verbs.

Interrogative ( To ask question):

For Instance;
1. Had he played Football?
2. Had she watched T.V?
3. Had Sahar eaten Mango?
4. Had i drunk water?
5. Had you taken a Tea?
6. Had they visited Sehwan Sharif?
7. Had we driven Benz?

Negative ( To negate):

For Instance;
1. He had not played Football.
2. She had not watched T.V.
3. Sahar had not eaten Mango.
4. I had not drunk water.
5. You had not taken a Tea.
6. They had not visited Sehwan Sharif.
7. We had not driven Benz.

# We can use following abbreviations:
hadn't = had not

Interrogative Negative ( To ask question while negating):

For Instance;
1. Had he not played Football?
2. Had she not watched T.V?
3. Had Sahar not eaten Mango?
4. Had i not drunk water?
5. Had you not taken a Tea?
6. Had they not visited Sehwan Sharif?
7. Had we not driven Benz?

Question Mark "?" is mandatory in order to make questions.
