2. Present Continuous Tense
Present Continuous Tense is used:
- For the action that is going on now.
- For the action that is planned for near future.
Affirmative Structure:
Subject + Auxiliary (Helping) Verb + Main Verb (ing Form) + Object
Auxiliary Verb:
He, She, It, Name > "Is"
I > "Am"
You, They, We > "Are"
Affirmative:
For Instance;
1. He is playing Football.
2. She is watching T.V.
3. Sheeraz is eating Mango.
4. I am drinking water.
5. You are taking a Tea.
6. They are visiting Sehwan Sharif.
7. We are driving Benz.
Auxiliary (Helping) Verb:
He, She, It, Name > "Is"
I > "Am"
You, They, We > "Are"
We can make Interrogative, Negative, and Interrogative Negative with the help of these Helping / Auxiliary Verbs.
Interrogative ( To ask question):
For Instance;
1. Is he playing Football?
2. Is she watching T.V?
3. Is Sheeraz eating Mango?
4. Am i drinking water?
5. Are you taking a Tea?
6. Are they visiting Sehwan Sharif?
7. Are we driving Benz?
For Instance;
1. He is not playing Football.
2. She is not watching T.V.
3. Sheeraz is not eating Mango.
4. I am not drinking water.
5. You are not taking a Tea.
6. They are not visiting Sehwan Sharif.
7. We are not driving Benz.
isn't = is not
aren't = are not
Interrogative Negative ( To ask question while negating):
For Instance;
1. Is he not playing Football?
2. Is she not watching T.V?
3. Is Sheeraz not eating Mango?
4. Am i not drinking water?
5. Are you not taking a Tea?
6. Are they not visiting Sehwan Sharif?
7. Are we not driving Benz?
