Lecture # 5 Present Perfect Tense

3. Present Perfect Tense

Present Perfect Tense is used:
- For the action that happened in past but we are not concerned with time.

Affirmative Structure:
Subject + Auxiliary (Helping) Verb + Main Verb (3rd Form) + Object

Auxiliary Verb:
He, She, It, Name > "Has"
I, You, They, We  > "Have"

Affirmative:

For Instance;
1. He has played Football.
2. She has watched T.V.
3. Shahzaib has eaten Mango.
4. I have drunk water.
5. You have taken a Tea.
6. They have visited Sehwan Sharif.
7. We have driven Benz.

Auxiliary (Helping) Verb:
He, She, It, Name  > "Has"
I, You, They, We > "Have"

We can make Interrogative, Negative, and Interrogative Negative with the help of these Helping / Auxiliary Verbs.

Interrogative ( To ask question):

For Instance;
1. Has he played Football?
2. Has she watched T.V?
3. Has Shahzaib eaten Mango?
4. Have i drunk water?
5. Have you taken a Tea?
6. Have they visited Sehwan Sharif?
7. Have we driven Benz?

Negative ( To negate):

For Instance;
1. He has not played Football.
2. She has not watched T.V.
3. Shahzaib has not eaten Mango.
4. I have not drunk water.
5. You have not taken a Tea.
6. They have not visited Sehwan Sharif.
7. We have not driven Benz.

# We can use following abbreviations:
hasn't = has not
haven't = have not

Interrogative Negative ( To ask question while negating):

For Instance;
1. Has he not played Football?
2. Has she not watched T.V?
3. Has Shahzaib not eaten Mango?
4. Have i not drunk water?
5. Have you not taken a Tea?
6. Have they not visited Sehwan Sharif?
7. Have we not driven Benz?

Question Mark "?" is mandatory in order to make questions.
