German Language is also known as Deutsch Language. It is being spoken in Central Europe. It is official language of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, South Tyrol (Italy), Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Belgium. Major Languages like Deutsch (German), English, Dutch, and Afrikaans are the branches of Germanic Language, that is why Deutsch language is most similar to English, Dutch and Afrikaans. After English German is most widely spoken Germanic Language.
German is Mother Tongue of about 95 Million People worldwide, and most widely spoken language in European Union. German is also 3rd most widely taught foreign language in both U.S and Europe.
It is 2nd most commonly used scientific language.
German is Pluricentric language i.e language with several standard versions. For Instance, German, Austrian and Swiss Standard German.
