5. Past Simple Tense

Past Simple Tense is used:
- For the action that happened in past.

Affirmative Structure:
Subject + Main Verb (2nd Form) + Object

Affirmative:

For Instance;
1. He played Football.
2. She watched T.V.
3. Nida ate Mango.
4. I drank water.
5. You took a Tea.
6. They visited Sehwan Sharif
7. We drove Benz.

Auxiliary (Helping) Verb:
He, She, It, Name, I, You, They, We  > "Did"

We can make Interrogative, Negative, and Interrogative Negative with the help of this Helping / Auxiliary Verb.

Interrogative ( To ask question):

For Instance;
1. did he play Football?
2. did she watch T.V?
3. did Nida eat Mango?
4. did i drink water?
5. did you take a Tea?
6. did they visit Sehwan Sharif?
7. did we drive Benz?

# "1st form of verb" is used in making interrogative / negative or interrogative negative sentences.

Negative ( To negate):

For Instance;
1. He did not play Football.
2. She did not watch T.V.
3. Nida did not eat Mango.
4. I did not drink water.
5. You did not take a Tea.
6. They did not visit Sehwan Sharif
7. We did not drive Benz.

# We can use following abbreviations:
didn't = did not

Interrogative Negative ( To ask question while negating):

For Instance;
1. did he not play Football?
2. did she not watch T.V?
3. did Nida not eat Mango?
4. did i not drink water?
5. did you not take a Tea?
6. did they not visit Sehwan Sharif?
7. did we not drive Benz?

Question Mark "?" is mandatory in order to make questions.
