8. Past Perfect Continuous Tense
Past Perfect Continuous Tense is used:
- For the action that had been going on for some time in past.
- It is combination of Past Perfect and Past Continuous Tense.
Affirmative Structure:
Subject + Auxiliary (Helping) Verb + Main Verb (ing Form) + Object
Auxiliary Verb:
He, She, It, Name, I, You, They, We > "Had been"
Affirmative:
For Instance;
1. He had been playing Football.
2. She had been watching T.V.
3. Umair had been eating Mango.
4. I had been drinking water.
5. You had been taking a Tea.
6. They had been visiting Sehwan Sharif.
7. We had been driving Benz.
Auxiliary (Helping) Verb:
He, She, It, Name, I, You, They, We > "Had been"
We can make Interrogative, Negative, and Interrogative Negative with the help of these Helping / Auxiliary Verbs.
Interrogative ( To ask question):
For Instance;
1. Had he been playing Football?
2. Had she been watching T.V?
3. Had Umair been eating Mango?
4. Had i been drinking water?
5. Had you been taking a Tea?
6. Had they been visiting Sehwan Sharif?
7. Had we been driving Benz?
For Instance;
1. He had not been playing Football.
2. She had not been watching T.V.
3. Umair had not been eating Mango.
4. I had not been drinking water.
5. You had not been taking a Tea.
6. They had not been visiting Sehwan Sharif.
7. We had not been driving Benz.
hadn't = had not
Interrogative Negative ( To ask question while negating):
For Instance;
1. Had he not been playing Football?
2. Had she not been watching T.V?
3. Had Umair not been eating Mango?
4. Had i not been drinking water?
5. Had you not been taking a Tea?
6. Had they not been visiting Sehwan Sharif?
7. Had we not been driving Benz?
